The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a complete redesign we focused on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We have developed replacement drop in filters made from non-woven mesh which have a much higher flow rate as compared to the stock paper filters. To help reduce inlet air temperatures and force air into the airbox we designed large front scoops which sit behind the grills.
